This is our special son, Jarrod.
This is his room, with all of his equipment. This room, which as you can see is full of his equipment, is also our family room.
Twelve years ago I was in labor for 22 hours and our unborn son, Jarrod's, heart was in distress the whole time. I literally begged for cesarean section for seven hours. Which the Doctor refused to do until my son's brain was destroyed by lack of oxygen. Many Doctors want us to starve and dehydrate our son to death because they feel his life has no value. Jarrod loves to be alive. He loves his family. He loves to watch T.V. and have his dad help him play computer games.
We have always worked for pro-life causes. Jarrod is now our pro-life cause. Jarrod's care is 24 hours per day. He's very intensive care. He has seizures and can't swallow at all. And requires at least one medicine through his feeding tube every hour around the clock.
We are in grave financial trouble. Our electric bill alone, because of Jarrod's equipment is $600 per month. I wrote to all the electric company presidents and commissioners to ask them to forgive our now $8,000 electric bill, and was told that Federal Law prevents the electric company from giving us free electricity. I wrote to President Bush about our back owed taxes which are now about $14,000. And the President referred me back to the IRS, who told me there was nothing they could do for us unless we are current on our tax payments. Ironic, huh? We are constantly battling foreclosure on our house. Which, of course, if we lose, Jarrod would die. Jarrod also needs a room with a proper bathroom and tub. Right now, Jarrod only gets bed baths.
I'm asking for help from anyone who is moved in their heart. Because our son is only one person, we cannot start a Foundation. So if you give money, it won't be tax deductible. If you do help, then God will have to bless you, because we can only do so in our hearts and prayers.
